An engineer stopped the train to save a cat: he picked up the animal and took it with him

A driver of a passenger train in the Netherlands rescued a cat on the tracks.

The man saw the cat lying on the tracks between The Hague and Utrecht and slowed down the train. He got off the train, picked up the cat and brought it into the cab of the locomotive.

It turned out that the cat was injured. And if the driver had not decided to stop the train, the exhausted animal would have inevitably died under its wheels.

The man took the cat to its final destination and upon arrival handed it over to the local veterinarians. Unfortunately, the vets there had to amputate part of the cat’s front leg and a tail, but were able to save its life. The animal was now on the road to recovery.

The driver managed to slow down the train so that none of the passengers were injured.
