Kelly O’Connell’s wedding day held a bittersweet significance, as it marked both a joyous union with her best friend and a farewell to a cherished companion. Charlie Bear, a 15-year-old black Labrador, was by her side on this special occasion, as it was fitting for him to be there. Kelly’s sister Katie Lloyd, serving as the maid of honor, walked Charlie Bear down the aisle.
In April, Charlie Bear was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and sadly, he passed away on September 9th. May he rest in peace, as love and memories forever encompass him.
Photographer Jen Dziuvenis captured the moments filled with tears and contemplation, noting, “I had to keep taking pictures, even if I’m behind the camera in tears.”
