Winy Juan Antonio Enriquez, a small store owner in Nuevo León, Mexico, has spent years building a strong customer base. Among his regular patrons, there are a few who show exceptional loyalty to his business.
Nearly a year ago, as Winy was preparing to close his shop for the day, an unexpected visitor arrived. A stray dog appeared out of nowhere, in search of compassion. It was clear that the poor animal was hungry, so Winy kindly offered him some food. The dog eagerly devoured the meal and then disappeared.
Interestingly, it was apparent that the grateful dog recognized Winy’s kindness. In the following days and weeks, the dog made surprise visits to the store, receiving a warm welcome and delicious meals in return. Through these acts of generosity, Winy earned the dog’s trust.
Winy shared that it took over a month of consistently feeding the dog, whom he named Carlos, before Carlos allowed him to offer affectionate pets. To Winy’s delight, Carlos began visiting the store twice a day – once in the morning and again at night.
