JADEN SMITH ADDRESSES HEALTH CONCERNS OVER RESTRICTIVE DIET ON RED TABLE TALK AFTER PARENTS WILL AND JADA PINKETT HAD AN INTERVENTION

Jaden Smith, accompanied by his father Will, 50, mother Jada, 48, 19-year-old sister Willow, and grandmother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, 66, gathered on the latest installment of “Red Table Talk” to delve into the health challenges affecting their family.

In a candid revelation, the 21-year-old acknowledged grappling with severe stomach issues and expressed a desire to uncover the root causes. To address this concern, the family enlisted the expertise of Dr. Mark Hyman and nutritionist Mona Sharma, who conducted a comprehensive analysis.

Jaden disclosed his initial reluctance to participate, citing some backlash he faced for embracing a vegan lifestyle. Reflecting on the aftermath of the previous episode, he shared encounters with well-meaning individuals expressing concern about his well-being.

Dr. Hyman elucidated that Jaden’s nutritional imbalances stemmed from consuming inappropriate foods, emphasizing that adjustments to his diet and the incorporation of supplements could positively impact his health. Notably, gluten and dairy emerged as significant culprits contributing to his health issues. Furthermore, Jaden’s avoidance of meat resulted in deficiencies in essential vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids.

Addressing Jaden, Dr. Hyman reassured him, stating, “When you fix your stomach, your diet expands, you take a few supplements, everything’s back to normal. You’re gonna rock the world.”

This revelation follows the Smith family’s previous concerns over Jaden’s extreme dietary choices, with Will and Jada expressing worry about his well-being. Jaden, who had adopted a vegan diet, revealed that he had been consuming only two meals a day, and at times, just one. His deteriorating health, evident in Australia where he was hospitalized for nausea and dizziness, prompted a shift to a vegetarian diet.

Reflecting on the intervention, Jada remarked, “Will and I had a bit of an intervention with Jaden because he’s a vegan now, but we realized he wasn’t getting enough protein.” Will added, “He had the dark circles under his eyes, there was even a little grayness to his skin. And we got really nervous.”

The Smith family’s commitment to openness about their mental and physical health is evident, with Will recently sharing footage of his colonoscopy. In doing so, he emphasized the importance of prioritizing health, encouraging others to embrace a commitment to well-being.
