After emerging from her coma, Madonna uttered only one word: “No,”

According to the legendary singer, the word came from a terrifying conversation she believed she had with God during her near-death experience.

Madonna, aged 65, has opened up about the harrowing ordeal she faced after being rushed to hospital last June with a severe bacterial infection. Despite the seriousness of her condition, she eventually recovered and resumed her touring schedule, only to later reflect on the near-death encounter.

During a performance in Los Angeles, Madonna took the moment to express her gratitude to Dr. David Agus, the doctor responsible for saving her life. To applause, she made a startling revelation: “I had a surprise this summer. I had a near-death experience. Yeah, I’m not kidding. It was pretty scary. I didn’t know anything for four days because I was in an induced coma.”

After regaining consciousness, Madonna’s immediate response was an emphatic “No.” She speculated that this reaction was prompted by the existential suggestion of a divine entity. “I’m sure God was saying to me, ‘Do you want to be with me? Do you want to come with me? Do you want to walk here?’ And I was like, ‘No, no,'” she revealed.

The singer candidly shared the challenges she faced during her recovery, including her struggle to regain her energy and vitality. Despite her determination to get back to her old self and continue touring, Madonna found solace in the simple act of basking in the sun, even though it proved physically demanding.

“I know it sounds crazy, but it was hard… I called the doctor every other day, asking him when I would get my energy back and feel like myself, when I could go on tour again. All he would advise me was: ‘Get out to the sun.’ It’s been a challenging journey for me, just to step out of the confines of my home and into the backyard and soak up the sunlight. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s been hard,” Madonna reflected.
