As reported by Express, Tammy Slaton, one of the stars of the American reality series 1000-lb Sisters, has opened up about the “incredible transformations” she’s experienced throughout her weight loss journey. Now 37, Tammy has deeply resonated with fans, having dropped an astonishing 200 kg and completely shifting her outlook on life. Her dramatic progress even led her to replace her entire wardrobe, as her old clothes no longer fit. Perhaps most impressively, she’s now able to walk unassisted—a milestone she hadn’t reached in years.

At her heaviest, Tammy weighed a daunting 317 kg. But after undergoing bariatric surgery, she now weighs 127 kg—the lowest she’s been since her mid-teens. “I’ve lost over 45 kg in just the last six months,” she revealed. “But honestly, that number scared me. The last time I was this weight, I must’ve been 15 or 16.” Overflowing with pride, she exclaimed, “I f***ing did it.” Despite the loose skin left behind, Tammy remains hopeful that future cosmetic procedures will help complete her transformation.

Fans have showered Tammy with praise for both her physical changes and her shift in mindset. One follower wrote, “Tammy is a completely different person now. I’ve seen every season.” Another commented, “She’s changed so much—not just her appearance, but her attitude has become so much more optimistic.”
“I didn’t even cry that much,” someone admitted, while another viewer reflected, “Success often belongs to those who never give up.”

Tammy and her sister Amy originally sought the help of a bariatric specialist to address their weight issues. With mostly sedentary lifestyles, the sisters relied heavily on their popular YouTube channel for income. Hailing from Kentucky, the duo became determined to lose enough weight to qualify for surgery and reclaim their lives. Their reality show, which premiered in January 2020, chronicles their emotional and physical journey—capturing their struggles, vulnerabilities, and hopes for a healthier future.
